American Songwriter: Virgin Festival Is Free This Year

While most of this summer’s popular music festivals will cost attendees upwards of several hundred dollars (tickets to Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza run at $240 and $205, respectively), music fans can look forward to a budget option thanks to leading media innovators Virgin Group. Earlier this week, the corporation announced the lineup for its annual Virgin Festival as well as the concert’s ticket price: completely free.

Landon Pigg, the Nashville singer-songwriter of “Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop” fame (you may recognize the single from ad campaigns for De Beers diamonds and AT&T), will release his sophomore album, The Boy Who Never, this fall. Due September 15, The Boy Who Never was produced by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse) and features a new arrangement of the commercial-friendly “Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop” as well as a host of new tracks gathered throughout the years since Landon’s 2006 debut album, LP.

Guest of a Guest: Diddy Hates Small Women’s Shoes, Straws, Smiling

Ciroc Vodka has just launched a new series of videos as a part of their “Perfectly Smooth” marketing campaign. The viral clips, starring P. Diddy, are titled “Smooth Talk With Diddy” and feature the hip-hop mogul’s advice for how to lead a “smooth” life.

According to “Smooth Talk With Diddy,” the rapper’s un-smooth pet peeves include:

– Big smiles
– Fist bumps with explosions
– Ladies: Shoes that are too small (they scare him)
– Drinks with straws

Earlier this summer, Diddy also starred in a Ciroc Vodka video short “Smooth-Off”  versus comedian Aziz Ansari (arguably one of the least smooth actors in the industry).

[SPOILER ALERT: Diddy won the Smooth-Off by refusing to sneeze (sneezing is, apparently, not smooth)].
